Can I change the auto-numbering format of cases?
At this time, there is no way to customize the cases' auto-numbering format. You can only manually change the case number when creating the case by editing the Case Number field.
You can also turn off the auto-numbering by:
1. Click Settings on the navigation pane.
2. From the expanded menu, click User Settings.
3. The GET STARTED page will open. Head over to the Company Settings tab.
4. Deselect the checkbox beside Cases under Auto Numbering.
5. Click Save.
No two cases can have the same case number. You will not be able to create the case if you manually change the case number that matches the existing one.
