Editing a Case When a Client Has Access

It's best practice to let clients fill out their details and upload the documents for their cases in the client portal. However, there may be instances when you would need to edit the case before the client has submitted it. If the client has edit access to the case while you try to edit the case, you will receive this pop-up notification:

You can click Ok and ignore the notification, then proceed to edit. However, there is a chance that your changes, or the client's, will be overwritten. To avoid this, you can lock the case while you edit. Read our Case Controls for the Client Portal article to know how.
